Meet Our SEL Dogs

Meet our incredible canine companions! Here, we celebrate three categories of our dedicated dogs: Our School Superheroes, who provide unwavering support in classrooms; Future Stars, who are currently in training to become impactful SEL dogs; and Mentors, the seasoned pros who assist in the development of new recruits.

Our SEL dogs love their job and look forward to going to work in a school each day. They understand their role and learn to seek out kids in need, offering comfort, connection, and joy to everyone they encounter.

    Birdie is a pure long coat Labrador Retriever. She will be placed in a Brandon elementary school in 2025.

  • Luna

    Luna is a chocolate Labrador Retriever who will begin her career with South Lyon Community Schools in 2024.

  • Miley

    Miley is a Labrador Retriever. She will begin her career in 2025.

  • Phoebe

    Phoebe is a Labrador Retriever and will be placed with a Brandon middle school in 2025.

  • Rumor

    Rumor is a chocolate Labrador Retriever who will begin her career with Birch Run Schools in 2024.

  • Wylie

    Wylie is a chocolate Labrador Retriever who will begin his career with South Lyon Schools in 2024.

Meet the Mentors

  • Parks

    Parks is a retired explosive detection K9. He is a happy guy with a BIG personality. He is a great mentor to our puppies.

  • Ruby

    Ruby, our puppy mentor, is our best employee. She helps us train the puppies with car rides and social outings.

  • Glass

    Glass is our little dog with a huge fan club. People flock to her everywhere she goes. She is a huge asset to our puppy mentor program.
